Goal of the course
The course is addressed to students from all departments of the University and no prior knowledge of the French language is requested. The main objective of this course is learning French as a scientific tool to facilitate access to French-speaking bibliogrphy, thus the course focuses on (i) the teaching of language types, words and grammar-syntax phenomena that make a scientific article accessible at least regarding the meaning and (ii) to explore through those phenomena the use of other linguistic expressions of universal utility.

Syllabus
Introduction to the field terminology and the expressions of quality, comparison, size, time as well as the expressions introducing subordinated sentences.
Grammatical Tools: basic nouns and adjectives endings, the irregular adjectives and adverbs, the formation of the degrees of the adjective and adverbs.
Syntax: introduction to minor proposals and submissive wisdom
