Education
Grigoris Athanasiu obtained his B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Athens in 1981 and his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford University (USA) in 1987. His academic genealogy tree is here.
Career
He was a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, USA (1987-90) and at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland (1990-92). He joined the University of Crete in 1992 where he is a permanent Assistant Professor.
