Education
Nikos Tsamis obtained his BSc in Physics from Brown University (USA) in 1977 and his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Harvard University (USA) in 1983. His academic genealogy tree is here.
Career
He was a postoctoral research associate at Stanford University (USA), CERN (Switzerland), and Ecole Polytechnique (France) before being elected as an Associate Professor at the University of Crete in 2002. He was promoted to Professor in 2016. He retired and was elected Emeritus Professor in 2022.
